Attention ASUM Members – Have you voted ??
Attention all ASUM members:
Please be aware that the Australasian Society of Ultrasound in Medicine is electing a new Council member. The Emergency Medicine community has seen significant support and strides forward in guidance and development of recognised pathways towards safe clinician performed sonography, particularly by way of the CCPU certificate. This has been in large part because an Emergency Physician has consistently been on the board of directors, including the current Chair of the board of governing over the CCPU.
The Certificate of Clinician performed Ultrasound is fast becoming the gold standard by which most credentialing pathways are being measured, including ACEM guidelines. The CCPU is not directed at Emergency Care providers solely and benefits several other specialities whom see Clinician performed Ultrasound as a valuable tool. The direction and future scope of the CCPU certificate will be greatly influenced by the board that oversees its’ administration. As an Emergency Medicine Ultrasound interest group, EMUGs would like to support and recommend its members vote for an Emergency Physician in the upcoming election. There have been 2 nominated and a short bio of each is attached to this post.
Please, if you are a current member of ASUM, click the link below and register your support for one of these highly-qualified Emergency Physicians.
