Interested in the DDU?? Two of Australia’s ‘hotshots’ in Emergency Ultrasound are flying in to help!
EMUGs supports the increase in numbers of Emergency docs with the CCPU (Certificate in Clinician Performed Ultrasound). It is the current national standard point of care qualification.
For those who want to become even more advanced scanners the DDU (Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound) is the next natural step. It is not a small project but at the end of it, you will be a POCUS TopGun!
ASUM is hosting a one day preparation course for the DDU (Emergency) and DDU (General) candidates, targeted particularly at those planning to sit the module 3 assessments (written and oral), but would also be of interest to any practitioner who wishes to practice ultrasound at this level.
An introductory session will cover exam technique, the rest of the day will cover some of the more complicated areas of the syllabus.
Most sessions will be small group discussions and practice oral cases.
Presenters will be from the DDU Board of Examiners.
