JELLY that BELLY – Registration details here…
Coming to a fine venue near you! … If you live in Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney or Christchurch – otherwise get yourself there for some point of care goodness.
‘Jelly That Belly!’ is the educational theme for the next round of sessions in EMUGs centres around ANZ.
Our local teams have gathered leading POCUS educators to provide tips and tricks for the spectrum of bedside ultrasound users who look after emergency and critical care patients.
We know we can provide better care for our patients using POCUS so let’s improve our clinical decision making for the subset who merit a Focussed ED scan. This is a potentially challenging area and it’s important to know who we should be scanning and what are the pitfalls and controversies – you will learn that here!
The Abdominal Sessions will be 1 part of the 4-part full EMUGs meetings from approx. 3.15-9.15pm in most regions (note 11am-5pm in Christchurch & Melbourne meeting has a separate CLUb date). Come to all sessions or just pop into one or two if that’s what your schedule can allow.
A. Come to the Clinical Leaders in Ultrasound bloc (CLUb) meeting if you are a FACEM or Trainee lead in your hospital, or a Sonographer with an interest in emergency ultrasound. (Email Events@EMUGs.org for more details)
B. The Social Dinner is a great way to meet the local POCUS enthusiasts and talk about improving training in your department, or try to find someone who will review your scans! Everyone is welcome.
C. Our Sponsored event, the pinnacle Educational session on Point of Care Abdominal Ultrasound – read more on the registration page. Note there will be some regional variation for content at our meetings – all will be good! The abdomen can be an adventure, so we will be showcasing different perspectives at each meeting.
D. Want to vent some POCUS fury?! Or get involved with the local discussion and progress in your area… The Open Panel Discussion session is always a lively one and will bring together the views and learning points of the day!
Hope to see you there
