The second annual EMUGs SONIC Conference will be a hybrid event including interactive and didactic teaching, networking with leading POCUS minds and hands-on workshops led by expert instructors.

Hear from leaders in the world of POCUS discussing new ideas and innovations and debating areas of controversy.


Attend hands-on workshops in Queenstown to improve your scanning skills. There will be something for everyone from the novice scanner to tips for more experienced clinicians. Virtual attendees can register their interest to attend a satellite workshop in Australia.

Plus, view the latest technologies from industry leaders and more both live and virtually.


SONIC 2021 will be a hybrid event whereby those in Queenstown will enjoy didactic sessions, panel discussions, workshops, trade displays, networking and all that Queenstown has to offer.


Offshore participants will be able to register for the virtual event and gain access to all the didactic sessions presented in Queenstown as well as an opportunity to interact with speakers and presenters in a virtual space.

The virtual event will run on Thursday 12th and Friday 13th August. Talks, Q&A, trade and discussion groups will be available on the conference app for 2 weeks following the conference.

  5. Save the date… COVID-19 permitting there will be satellite workshop/s offered in Australia on Saturday 14th August which will be finalised and ticketed closer to the event.

Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Groups (EMUGs) is a grassroots, not-for-profit special interest group with a vision to integrate and progress best practice focused ultrasound in acute care settings.
